Sydney's Place, founded July 1, 2021, in Kansas City, MO by Sylvarena Funderburke in memory of her daughter, Sydney, born August 14, 2008, provides hope and resources for young mothers, through Six Programmatic Concentrations. We endeavor to be both a faith-based community resource and a safe-haven for what is often an overlooked populace.

Sydney’s Place, Inc., has a mission to serve as a resource center for young mothers ages 13-21, to aid in personal and professional development, and to empower them to become their best selves.
Our Vision
Sydney’s Place, Inc., a faith-based, non-profit entity, has a vision to enhance the quality of life for at-risk, homeless and depressed teen moms needing counseling, parenting training, mentorship, resources, and support.
