Sydney’s Place was developed out of extreme necessity. I received a call from a parent of a child who I previously evaluated over six years ago. She called in desperation needing my help. Her son turned 22 years old and was graduating high school. She visited several activity centers but grew increasingly discouraged. Either they had too many people or not enough activities.
I too believed, after visiting many day habilitation centers over the years, many lacked energy and structure. It saddened me to observe individuals sitting at a table or laying on the floor without any interaction or engagement. With no luck in finding a center in the southwest area to meet our needs, Sydney’s Place was born. Our staff understands the mission and is dedicated to providing excellent care. We offer a safe, clean and calm environment and serve every child no matter how great their need may be.
