Sydney’s Place is a day program in Houston for special needs individuals that promote personal growth, individual choice through appropriate activities. The goal is that each individual engage in structured activities in a safe, happy and calm environment. We believe each individual who enters Sydney’s Place should be treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

At Sydney’s Place, we work on independent living skills such as dressing, feeding, sorting laundry, washing dishes, making beds, making simple snacks, money management, and shopping for necessities. We offer structured activities which include: art, computer, task training and social skills centers. The social skills activities assist individuals with daily functioning and interacting with others. Basic academics is an added componenet which assist in maintaining skills that were previously taught in their academic setting. Sydney’s Place is a day habilitation center that also offers daily range in motion classes to ensure that individuals obtain proper exercise. 

We believe we have created a safe environment filled with fun, love and happiness. We envision Sydney’s Place to be a place of comfort for parents who bring their loved ones. We envision a place where everyone is safe and everyone is smiling. Everyone is on task and where everyone is loved!
